Blogging 101 assignment for day 2 is changing the Blog Title and Tagline
I did, when I set up this blog.
I thought choosing the Blog title was the hardest one of the task, but it turns out that the tagline is the hardest.
My blog title, Destination T, is actually influenced by my favourite TVXQ
Our (TVXQ and fans) catch phrase is “We are T”
One of the most famous quote from one of the member is “The TVXQ train, once you get on, you can never get off. But you‘re still going to join us, right??” Yunho said this once on his thank you note for their first album as duo – long story short TVXQ was once a 5-member-ed group but they split and the duo continue to be TVXQ while the other 3 formed a new group. My favourite is the TVXQ duo. There’s a bad blood between fandoms etc etc and I stick with the duo fandom.
We are T, is a catch phrase made after they became a duo, which is in a sense of belonging, belong to the duo and fans.
So, the origin of this blog name is because actually I didn’t know about what would I do with this blog, where this blog is going, but in coincidence with both TVXQ members army enlistment (South Korean men must serve in the army) for 2 years, this feel like me, as a fan, is wandering around during this hiatus. hence the Destination T, because no matter where they go, no matter where I go, which way we go, in the end we will always be T.
It’s probably so lame! hahaa
But I’m trying to keep TVXQ related content minimum in my blog so don’t worry!
Tagline, I find, is harder than the title, for tagline will usually give a glimpse of the content of the blog, while mine, is super random.
That is why for now, I put Fanny Brice’s quote that I found randomly on internet
“Let the world know you as you are, not as you think you should be, because sooner or later, if you are posing, you will forget the pose, and then where are you?”
For now, I think this quote is so apt with my blog.
Because, however random my posts will be, it will be a reflection of me as I am. 😉
I will probably change the tagline if I have found a good idea of what I want to put there. Didn’t hey say that the only constant thing in this world is a change? 😀
It’s time for Cee’s Share Your World again! Week #36, time flies!
Before I realized, everyone in facebook is already starting to countdown to Christmas! Haha
Okay, so this week questions,
If you were a pen, what type, style and color would you be?
Pen… I’d probably will be a pen called “Standard AE7” with 0.5 tip!
They are my favourite, so comfortable to write and they last long too 😀
Funny thing is, I came from a small town called Magetan and license plat for cars in Magetan is started with AE.
How many languages do you you speak?
I speak fluent Indonesian, Javanese (informal), Suroboyoan (we kind of mix Indonesian, informal Javanese and Surabaya dialect language in Suroboyoan), and English.
I am currently learning Japanese, hopefully I will be fluent in Japanese in the future!
I speak a little Chinese (but to be honest, it’s fading away…..)
I can speak a little Korean (and read some Hangul too, but not fluent)
Javanese language is categorized as 3, informal (which is used in daily lives, sometimes often thought as “rude”), formal (mostly used by older people, younger people nowadays choose to use Indonesian instead) , and polite (which not very often used). When people speak formal Javanese language to me, most of the time I can understand what they are saying, but somehow it is very hard for me to reply in the same language, my mind usually goes blank so I replied using Indonesian instead of I met people who’s talking to me using formal Javanese.
Are you a listener or talker?
I can be both, depend on the situation.
But I can only be a talker comfortably around people I’m close and comfortable with. If I’m surrounded by a lot of strangers or even people I know but not too close, I usually be a listener.
Rather Have: Which would you rather have, 2 million dollars or true love?
Since I haven’t met my true love, I’d love to have true love for now. Maybe then both of us can try to get that 2 million dollars later 😉
Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
I am grateful for making my first sales on my newly set-up online store in one of Indonesian famous online market.
I am grateful that my Japanese class went well and even my Japanese exam yesterday went okay, not too bad.
I am grateful that I get to know more people in wordpress.
I am grateful that I get to meet my friends from university for a dinner last Friday, it has been few months since we all gather together. Even 2 of them who are married brings their s/o and children!
For next week, I don’t have anything particular I’m looking forward to. Just gonna enjoy what’s coming up next! 🙂
Hi again everyone!
I’m so happy reading a lot if people’s post on the Day 1 assignment yesterday, and even though it’s already a bit late in my place (local time), time to submit the 2nd day assignment.
Day 2 of Writing 101 class. Making a list.
I may be sound repeating myself from yesterday assignment but I did introduce myself on my blog before these B101 and W101 classes started using a list! What a coincidence! Fate? 😉
Okay, so for today’s assignment, given the choices of list in the email we received, I’d like to choose,
Things I like
- Smell of the earth after/during the rain
- Smell of fresh coffee in the early morning
- Smell of new books when you open them for the first time (bookworm alert!!)
- Warm shower after long day at work
- The B*dy Sh*p Japanese Cherry Blossom series (this is not an advertising!!)
- Taking random photos when I go travelling
- Spicy food!! and Spaghetti, of course, I can’t not to mention this.
- Streaming movies online (oops)
- Chatting with my Chelsea online friends, or just even sometimes I’d be a silent reader on their conversation in our chat room during the match (I’m not being creepy, but sometimes I just enjoy reading and let the conversation flow without intention of joining in, weird isn’t it?)
- Spending lazy weekend at home
- Sweet warm jasmine tea
- Listening to Tohoshinki’s ballad songs (I can make another list of songs recommendation for this like seriously!)
- Watermelon. Lots of them. Fresh watermelon or watermelon juice I love them both.
- The colour of Blue. I like blue and I look good wearing blue clothes. I like Blue at first because of Chelsea, I still do, maybe still because of the same reason, but I like blue. Blue is the colour.
- Stopping a list at (not-so) random number. This time it’s #16. 😉
Well, this question is the first assignment for Blogging101.
When I decided I wanted to start consistently writing a blog, I created a page on my blog with the title of “Who’s Vamps?”
I listed several facts about myself because I’m not really good at self introduction. Whether it is in real life or in online world. I’m rather shy in nature when meeting new people.
So to help with my post, I’ll answer some questions sent in the email.
Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
Like I said, in real life and even in online world, I usually rather shy to meet new people. It’s awkward for me to approach new people because I don’t seem to know what should I talk about and how should I approach them. By making my blog public, I wish that it will help me in real life to be more comfortable in talking to strangers/new people. Things I shared on here are nothing too personal, hence I don’t mind making it public. To share more personal details about me, I know that I’m not ready yet.
What topics do you think you’ll write about?
I am pretty much random person. So if this blog is a reflection of me, it will definitely random too. From books to movie to cooking to health to photography to sport and to kpop. I’m random, therefore I am.
Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
EVERYONE. I really mean it. I love having friends from many different places, background and culture.
If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?
If my blog can survive until next year, I hope that by that time, in one or other way, this blog can help people, including myself. 😉
I’m writing this post as part of the Writing 101.
This is the first topic. “I write because…”
I write because..
Honestly I don’t know.
I love reading, and I always admire people who are creative enough to write.
Maybe I write because I’m so jealous of them and I want to be “one of those people who can write”
Maybe I write because I need something to express my mind
Maybe I write because I want to share something to someone, with the hope that my writing is good enough, because being a reader myself, I know someone else’s stories that I can relate too, someone else’s stories that inspire me and that I want to give back those encouragement for a change.
And maybe I write, because deep down, I just want to write. 🙂
This is actually such a deep question for people who are still new and wandering around in writing world.
Apparently, 5 years after finishing school/university, when it comes to study, I’m still a loyal follower of SKS (Sistem Kebut Semalam) – translated roughly as The Night Before – meaning before a test you just study everything the night before a test.
I’m going to have a ‘mid-term’ exam for my Japanese language class tomorrow evening after work, and here I am just finished reading the material just now. And just once.
It’s not that I’m being a smartarse, I just not really good at studying for too long. My mind wanders around and in the end I will just abandon the text book. So it’s a better strategy to just read it all over at a glance once, and will do again tomorrow morning (because honestly I’m not 100% memorize all the kana yet) ㅠ.ㅠ
Anddd I think I register to the blogging 101 and writing 101 class from The Daily Post twice, though I don’t remember getting any email confirmation to make sure I’m alredy registered.
For now, it’s a good night!
